"Today's ceremony is part of the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining its independence. We can not forget how important role played by foresters in the fight for free Poland "- he added.

The Minister also emphasized that Poland is in the European lead when it comes to the area of ​​forests. They occupy nearly 30 percent. territory of the country. The vast majority are state forests, of which almost 7.6 million ha is managed by the State Forests National Forest Holding.

The organizers of the event were the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Warsaw and the Pułtusk Forest District.
