The National Bank of Economic and Social Development (BNDES) launched on Thursday (27), with the presence of the president Michel Temer, and the minister of Mines and Energy, Moreira Franco, the Finame Renewable Energies, to support investments in clean energy. The initial budget is$ 2 billion. In his speech, Moreira Franco spoke about the importance of renewable energy and highlighted that they currently represent 82% of the brazilian energy matrix. The Minister stated that the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) works to strengthen and expand the possibility of living with the clean energy in Brazil, have an abundance in supply and decrease the price. When talking about the price of energy, Moreira Franco returned to defend the reduction of the subsidies paid by consumers in the electricity bill. “People don’t realize how much they are paying subsidy. This initiative today is extremely important because it is a contribution effective, objective and concrete so that we can meet this third point of the MME, that is to ensure cheap energy, energy the fair price, without paying for that does not consume. And above all, start having the possibility of dividing 50% of the consumed and the other 50% being paid in taxes and subsidies,” he said.Credit for energy limpaCom the line Finame Renewable Energy, customers — condominiums, companies, cooperatives, farmers and individuals — can be financed, with the private banks, the public and funding agencies, up to 100% of the total to be applied in the equipment, with payment periods of up to 120 months and a grace period of up to 24 months. The line is already in operation to finance equipment such as systems of solar power generation of up to 375 KW, wind power up to 100 KW, and heating of the water by means of plates foragers solar. The funding of the program can be corrected by TLP, the Selic, or in the case of MSMES, Fixed Rate of the BNDES. The final cost includes the remuneration of the BNDES — 1.05% per year — and the financial agent. Considering the average spread of the repassadores credit Finame BNDES to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, the final rate projected is of, approximately, 1.3% a month. From submission of the proposal by the financial agent, the approval of the operation is made in few seconds by the platform’s BNDES Online. The equipment to be financed must be enabled for this line of financing on the basis of the BNDES, which requires that they are new, national, and comply with requirements of local content. With this, the initiative directly contributes to the structuring of the production chain of suppliers of equipment for renewable energy generation. In addition to contributing to the environment, since it consists of means of generating clean energy, the consumers may reduce their spending with the account of light and, depending on the region, to exchange the surplus credits to be used in the future. The multiplication of the points of generation to provide security and benefit to the electric system, reducing the risk of interruption of power supply.Fund ClimaNo event was also announced the investment of R$ 228 million for new funding program Fund Climate – Line Machinery and Equipment Efficient, launched in June to finance investments in photovoltaic systems, allowing you to access, including from individuals. The result was successful: approximately R$ 80 million in financing approved in less than 2 months. Now, the new investment of R$ 228 million will allow the reopening of the Background Climate for funding requests. In addition to photovoltaic systems, the line can finance wind turbines of small power generators, biogas and frequency drives.
