PROVISIONS OF THE SOCIAL SECURITY CODE APPLICABLE TO SELF-EMPLOYED PERSONS
The minister of solidarity and of health and the minister of the action and of the public accounts have presented a draft law ratifying order nĀ° 2018-470 of June 12, 2018 consolidating and ensuring the consistency of the provisions of the social security code applicable to self-employed workers.
This order, taken in application of law nĀ° 2017-1836 of December 30, 2017 financing of social security in 2018, and draws consequences editorial, in all codes, the deletion of the self-employed scheme and the enlargement of the general scheme for self-employed workers in non-agricultural.
In addition, it brings together, coherently, in a single book of the code of social security the whole set of special rules, today scattered in many texts, which continue to apply to self-employed workers in matters of social security, including old-age insurance, in addition to or substitution for those provided in the general plan.
This order, taken as established law, does not entail any effect on the rights and obligations of insured persons and contributors. It responds to the objective to make the applicable law more readable and accessible, particularly in the taking into account of the specificity of self-employed workers in the general regime.
The draft law ratifying the ordinance has no other provision.
