Headline: The Federal Council rejects a three-year commitment to optional freight
The Federal Council is against the obligation to maintain a chosen electoral franchise for three years. At its meeting on 28 September 2018, it opposed the parliamentary initiative which required it. The Bundesrat believes that the initiative could not meet its objective and could even lead to additional costs.
