The government has to 1. October of 2018, a small Amendment to the police regulation. Background the new Federal law on the Surveillance of Postal and telecommunications traffic (BÜPF). Thus, the personal scope of the law and the use of technical surveillance devices and special computer extended programs. In addition, a Surveillance of Postal and telecommunications traffic is arranged outside of criminal proceedings, re – also possible in the context of the search for persons who have been sentenced to imprisonment or against whom a custodial measure. The cantons have to define the corresponding responsibilities.
