Remaining the owner of the computer company Bedag, the canton of Bern retains control over the processing and safeguarding of sensitive data of the cantonal administration. Bedag remains an independent joint-stock company, but it should be better integrated in the computer management of the administration. It will continue to offer its services to third parties outside of the administration, but this part of its activities may not exceed 20% in the future due to conditions related to public procurement. The Council executive has reviewed the policy owner in accordance with these principles. He also submits to the General Council a report on the results of an audit concerning the sale of Bedag, in response to a postulate.
