Headline: Federal Council adopts adjustments to financial equalization

Based on the results of the 2016-2019 efficacy report on financial equalization and based on the outcome of the consultation, the Federal Council proposes a reform of the financial equalization system. The most important element is to increase the minimum level of resources in resource balancing to 86.5 percent of the Swiss average, while at the same time being guaranteed by law. At its meeting on 28 September 2018, the Federal Council adopted the message for the attention of Parliament.
