Headline: Federal Council sets quotas 2019 for third-country workers and service providers from the EU / EFTA

The Swiss economy should also be able to recruit the required qualified specialists in 2019. At its meeting of 28 September 2018, the Federal Council passed the necessary partial revision of the Regulation on Admission, Residence and Employment (VZAE). This comes into force on 1 January 2019. The residence permit quotas (B) will be increased by 1000 units and the short-term residence permits (L) reduced by 500 units. The total number of third-country workers and service providers from the EU / EFTA is therefore at the same level as in 2014.
