The President of the Republic received the President of the Swiss Confederation, Alain Berset, on Wednesday 12 September, as part of regular consultations between our two countries.

The President of the Republic and the President of the Swiss Confederation stressed the excellence and richness of the ties that unite France and Switzerland in economic, cultural, scientific and defense terms.

They spoke at length about the international situation, particularly in the Near and Middle East, and the role that France and Switzerland can play jointly in preserving an international order governed by the rules and faithful to our values.
