Headline: EUROPE / FRANCE – Bishop Dal Toso opens the Missionary Congress: "today's man needs the Gospel"
Paris – Archbishop Giovanni Pietro Dal Toso, Assistant Secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples and President of the Pontifical Mission Societies, opened yesterday evening, September 28, in Paris, the Missionary Congress which brings together French priests and lay people for three days to reflect together on evangelization in the country and on how to propose faith today. The event has been renewed since 2015 in the last weekend of September, with the support of the Pontifical Mission Societies of France. The great themes on which the 2018 Congress is articulated revolve around some fundamental themes: how to realize a fully missionary parish pastoral; how to announce Jesus Christ to the new generations, in the social and political sphere, in public spaces; how Christian spouses can be images of God's love.
