The United nations general Assembly has proclaimed June 27, 2018 ” Day of micro-enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises “, in order to raise public awareness on their importance in the sustainable development.

Created in 2017, the “Day of the micro, small and medium size enterprises” highlights the role of companies with fewer than 250 employees): they are a source of many job opportunities and income in the world, especially in developing countries, and sometimes even the only ones to provide jobs in rural areas.

The united Nations general Assembly reminds us of their central role in the achievement of sustainable development goals aimed at eradicating extreme poverty.

She invites all Member States, international and regional organizations, as well as civil society, non-governmental organizations, universities, individuals, to celebrate this day through the presentation of research, policy debates, workshops, practitioners, and the testimonials of the entrepreneurs.
