Restaurants, canteens, slaughterhouses, supermarkets, markets, trades of mouth… the results of The health inspections carried out since march 1, 2017 in the food sector, are accessible online on the website alim-confiance.gouv.fr.
In order to make public the level of hygiene of the establishments of production, processing and distribution of food products is controlled, the site www.alim-confiance.gouv.fr provides access to an interactive map of France to search any establishment in the food chain by its name or ip address. It is also possible to filter the results by category of establishments or browse the map. The items displayed are :
the name and address of the establishment
The level of hygiene “to correct an urgent need” for facilities with non-compliance which may endanger the health of the consumer and for which the administrative authority shall order the closure, withdrawal, or suspension of the accreditation health.
The results on the whole territory, more than 12,700 restaurants, 7 300 catering establishments, 1 800 butchers-meats, 1 100 cheese factories, 870 food stores general, 675 caterers, 530 free services, etc, are searchable, and each day new data is added. These are still available online or displayed in the premises of the institutions in question for a period of one year from the date of realization of the control.
Namely :
In Europe, 9 other countries publish the results of their official controls in food hygiene matters : the United Kingdom, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway and the netherlands. The device also exists in the United States, Australia, Canada and China.
