Alice Feslier Holmes wanted to share business opportunities between the two countries and to collect from the government the priority projects to implement in concert.

The Vice-President also underlined the importance of this cooperation for the two Pacific countries with regard to regional issues, and welcomed the progress of the "Tahitian Village" project, carried out notably by Maori investors. He recalled the need to develop regional trade and economic relations, so that economic growth benefits as much as possible to the Pacific countries as a priority.

Indeed, the Pacific region is one of the most promising economic development basins globally, both from a collective point of view for the region, but also for our respective local economies. The Vice-President has particularly emphasized the desire to achieve cooperation on maritime vocational training, and hopes to benefit our Polynesians from the expertise and techniques of our cousins ​​New Zealand.

"The Government's desire has been to strengthen the representation of development-related sectors, such as tourism, and to become more open to the blue and green economic and digital sectors, without neglecting important contribution to culture and the environment, "said the President.

The new configuration thus includes 4 colleges, respecting an equal number of 12 seats between each college. The presidency of the CESC will now be held in turn by a member from one of the four colleges. Further improvements in the operation of the CESC have also been made. "These changes are necessary to enable this institution to play its full role by giving it all the support it deserves in the Polynesian institutional landscape," said the President.

"I hope that your reflections and works will continue to provide the essential light on the major issues of society, that they open up favorable economic and social prospects and that they still contribute to shaping the choices of the future," said the President. , referring in particular to the issue of pension reform which has been the subject of wide consultation for three years.
