MIL OSI Translation. Government of the Republic of France statements from English to French –
The 2017 report on wealth indicators has just been released. As every year, since 2015, it shows through 10 indicators of reference, the complete statistics and the most recent data on the economic, social and environmental situation of France.
Since the vote of the law of April 13, 2015, the wealth of France is no longer just weighed by the yardstick of gross domestic product (GDP). It is now based on 10 development indicators – indicators of inequality, quality of life, sustainable development … – which allow to analyze more closely the economic, social and environmental sustainability but also the quality of life group of French people with regard to the proposed model.
With these ten indicators, France has a unique tool with regard to the evolution of society and the way in which it envisages the notion of collective progress associating the economic dimension with that of social and environmental well-being. A tool readable by the French who, at the level of the civil society, territories, companies, can appropriate this grid of reading.
This tool also has a deep political meaning. Every year, the Government submits a report to Parliament based on these new indicators. The 2017 report provides a valuable inventory to assess the Government's action in the light of the country's situation, and thus to mobilize the various stakeholders around France's transformation and development project.
In the same way, next year, the main reforms initiated by the Government will thus be evaluated and judged in their adequacy, in particular the will displayed by the Government to engage France towards a model of sustainable growth, more inclusive and greener.
