The Minister of Tourism, Nicole Bouteau, inaugurated, along with the other tourism ministers of the present destinations, the 40th edition of the IFTM Top Resa Tourism Professionals Fair, which takes place from 25 to 28 September 2018 in Paris at the Parc des Expositions – Porte de Versailles.

IFTM Top Resa, is one of the largest trade fairs for tourism and travel organized every year in Paris. It takes place over four days and allows destinations, tourism professionals, travel agents and buyers to meet. It is the unmissable event for tourism professionals who promote their destinations on the French market. It is also a privileged and comprehensive showcase of tourism markets in all their components and developments. This show is today a real multi-segment event gathering in one place Leisure, Business, Event and Group tourism, both in France and internationally. The overseas territories are very present, the hexagonal France representing the important issuer market for each destination ultramarines.

Polynesia has been present for many years through Tahiti Tourism which has a beautiful space of 90 m2, showcase of the destination "Tahiti and its islands" in the Asia-Pacific zone, which it shares with Air Tahiti Nui and other professionals of the destination.

With the teams of Tahiti Tourisme, Nicole Bouteau met throughout the day the main Tour-Operators specialists of the destination on the French market: Fare Voyages, Turquoise Voyages, Exoticism, Tui France, Austral Lagoon, Travel Legend, Tiare Spirit, JLT Travels, and Star Travels.

It also traded with the representation of Air Tahiti Nui in France led by Jean-Marc Hastings. Michel Monvoisin also made the trip on the occasion of this 2018 edition corresponding to the 20 years of the company but also a few days of delivery of the first Dreamliner of the company to be hosted on October 7 in Tahiti. Important marketing means were deployed by Air Tahiti Nui on the show in order to give visibility to the company and the destination "Tahiti and its islands".

The Minister also went to meet Air France officials in their area: Patrick Alexandre, General Sales Manager Sales Alliances, Patrick Roux, Director of Alliances, Zoran Jelkic, General Manager of the French market at Air France and Alex Hervet, who after having directed for 4 years the representation of Air France in Polynesia, has recently joined the sales management of Air France Alliances.

Finally, she spoke with Marc Rochet, CEO of French Bee, Sophie Hocquez, Commercial Director of the company and Edmond Richard Commercial Director Europe of Air Caraïbes.

The exchanges confirmed the dynamics of the French market, which has increased by more than 17% since the beginning of the year. The year 2019 promises to be just as dynamic.
