The President of Latvia participates in the opening of the International Young Guard Camp "Baltic Guards 2018"

President Raimonds Vējonis on Monday, August 13, 2018, in Malpils participated in the opening ceremony of the International Guardian International Youth Guard Camp 2018, which will take place until 17 August. Speaking about the participants of the camp, the President emphasized: "Today we live in the course of endless changes, where peace and security are not self-evident things. Therefore, it is essential that young people from different countries are ready to invest their time and work together to develop their knowledge and skills that will allow our countries to maintain peace and security in the future. "The national president noted that this international camp is a great place where Young people not only get new friends but also develop their leadership skills, as well as compete with each other with their knowledge and skills. The International Guardian Camp "Baltic Guards 2018" is organized by the Youth Guard and Information Center. It includes 130 adolescents and young people aged 14 to 19 – young guardians and cadets (young people from related organizations) from the Baltic States, Britain, Poland and Ukraine.
