On Monday, 2018. 10. in September, the president Raimonds Vējonis in the Riga castle, met with the Latvia – Japan youth exchange program participants from Japan.The president noted that the meeting takes place in Latvia a very significant time – the year when the country celebrates its hundredth anniversary. “To celebrate this remarkable event and highlight the main historical facts and moments designed for broad local and international scale of the activity and part of them will be able to visit you.”Similarly, the president confirmed that the involvement of such a programme is a great opportunity to learn more about Latvian culture and traditions, as well as to meet new people and build new friendships with young people from Latvia. “You young people are our future, therefore during the visit the light of experience and international contacts later will be able to use in their professional lives, while learning leadership skills – at the global level, all future life. Enjoy Latvia’s beautiful nature and get inspiration of Latvian architecture,” bequeathed by mr. Raimonds Vējonis.Latvian-Japanese exchange programme aims to develop a better understanding and friendly relations between Latvia and Japan’s young people, the strengthening of international cooperation and providing the opportunity to better know and understand both the national culture and society.
