Visit of the Sanctions Committee for South Sudan in Nairobi

The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Poland, the Ambassador Joanna Wronecka, acting as the Chair of the Sanctions Committee for South Sudan, visited Nairobi.

The Sanctions Committee (the Committee 2206) was created by United Nations Security Council resolution no. 2206 in 2015. The Committee deals with South Sudan Sudanese Sudden Public Security, South Africa, South Africa, who commit human rights violations. HE Ambassador Wronecka, who was accompanied by representatives of the Nairobi, also visited Juba, Addis Ababa and Kampala. In Kenya, the Committee's Chair met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs – Ms. Monica Juma, her Deputy – Mr. Macharia Kamau, representatives of the Treasury, the Central Bank of Kenya and the Ethics and AntiCorruption Commission.
